Hello, my name is Mary Morgan. I graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Education. In August 1989 I was hired at Stringtown High School as the business teacher. From August 1989 – 2004, with the exception of one year in which I taught at Wapanucka High School, I taught several business classes and yearbook. I enjoyed working in the classroom but felt the need to pursue my Master’s degree in School Counseling. Upon receiving my master's, I added the role of counselor to my duties at Stringtown and eventually became the High School Principal. In February 2004, I took a position at Durant Middle School as a school counselor for eight years before moving to Washington Irving Elementary for the next seven years. In October 2019, I returned to Stringtown to be a part of the Strive Grant, in which I serve as High School Counselor.
On a personal side of my life, I am married to Dennis Morgan. We have three children, Joe, Audrey, and Jacob, and three grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with my family and especially watching my grandchildren in their various activities.
