STRINGTOWN WINS ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARD! The Oklahoma State Department of Education recently announced that Stringtown Elementary School was an Academic Achievement Award winner. The school won first place in Highest Annual Percentage Improvement (Growth) in Group1. Group 1 is schools with an average daily membership of 135 students or less. The award was given for the 2008-2009 school year. |
Stringtown Public School is the home of the Class B Boys State Basketball Champions for the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 seasons. The school has an enrollment of 165 students ranging in age from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th Grade. Stringtown Public School is a K-12 class "B" school located in southeast Oklahoma just 7 miles north of Atoka on State Highway 69. It offers a wide variety of academic and extra-curricular opportunities for the students in a friendly and safe environment. |
